This Saturday, people around the world will be able to join together in celebrating the life of recently deceased pop icon Whitney Houston as her private funeral is broadcast live via an online stream provided by the Associated Press.
By providing the public with a live stream of the ceremony, AP will allow those who can’t physically be at the ceremony to pay their final respects to Whitney before she’s buried.
The funeral will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, where Whitney used to sing as a child, with her eulogy being delivered by Grammy Winner and long-time family friend Marvin Winans. After the funeral, she will be buried at Fair View Cemetery in Westfield, N.J., the same place where her father was buried in 2003.
In addition to being broadcast on several television networks, the live stream will be available for free online at http://www.livestream.com/aplive.  Coverage begins at 12pm (noon) EST.
