The long anticipated device and service combo promises to revolutionize pay-TV and more.

Select TV
One of the fastest-growing media startups of all time today announced plans to completely revolutionize the delivery of pay-TV services. On the heels of millions of successful Rabbit TV sales in less than two years, FreeCast Inc’s new Select TV set top box will make its debut in Las Vegas at the NAB Show 2015. By marrying over-the-air live local television with FreeCast’s massive library of online movies, TV episodes, radio stations, streaming channels, live events, and more, the quad-core Select TV device will be able to replace cable TV and satellite radio subscriptions at a fraction of the price, while turning any TV into a full-blown PC. In addition to content, the state-of-the-art WiFi device packs every-day features, which previously required a dozen devices, into one small set top box with a simple interface. This includes recording and watching shows via DVR, streaming content from your mobile devices to your TV via Miracast or AirPlay like Chromecast, a full web browsing and email experience, a file download and app library manager, cloud storage integration, home automation, and more.
“Today, your average TV is usually accompanied by a stack of devices and a jungle of wires. With Select TV, we’ve eliminated that, packing it all into one small device, and creating The Smartest TV Ever.” CEO William Mobley explained. “With this one box, you can seamlessly transition between your local NBC, ABC, and CBS affiliates, your favorite on-demand content from free and paid VOD services, and top pay-per-view shows, movies, and events, as well as everything else that matters in your life: email, web browsing, home security, and more… This box goes beyond TV to become a hub for your entire home and lifestyle. Best of all, it’s cheaper and easier than what’s out there today, by a wide margin!”
While consumers will be able to purchase Select TV in national big-box retailers nationwide, FreeCast sees the commercial broadband and hospitality markets as key venues for the product as well, with several telcos and hotel chains already expressing interest. The company will unveil the product during the ShowStoppers at NAB 2015 media reception, and it will continue to be available for preview for the duration of the NAB Show at FreeCast’s booth, number N7132, located in the Startup Loft in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
