Last night marked the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Though host Ricky Gervais’ performance was a bit diappointing, the night was still exciting and full of surprises. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the fact that every winner in the television categories received his or her award for a show that has only been on for one season, which is exciting for fans of the newest wave of primetime programming.
To the surprise of very few (and the excitement of many), crowd favorite Peter Dinklage triumphantly took home the award for best actor in a supporting role for his stellar performance in the hit HBO series “Game of Thrones”.
