FreeCast Partners with Cajun Broadband to Bring Media Monetization Platform to Louisiana Broadband Customers
October 15, 2026
FreeCast, Inc. (NASDAQ: CAST), a provider of software-based media distribution and monetization technology, today announced a distribution partnership with Cajun Broadband, a Louisiana-based provider of fiber-optic and fixed wireless broadband services.
The agreement will enable Cajun Broadband to offer FreeCast's streaming and media marketplace capabilities to customers across its Louisiana service areas, including underserved rural communities, while creating opportunities for additional revenue streams beyond traditional broadband connectivity.
The partnership represents another application of FreeCast's Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) business model, which enables internet service providers (ISPs), telecommunications companies, wireless operators, satellite providers and other businesses to extend their existing customer relationships into entertainment, advertising, subscription services and digital commerce without the expense of developing and maintaining proprietary streaming infrastructure.
Turning Broadband Connectivity into Media Monetization
As broadband deployment continues expanding into rural America, internet providers increasingly face an opportunity to offer customers more than connectivity alone.
FreeCast's software platform provides an alternative to traditional managed television infrastructure, allowing broadband operators to offer a comprehensive media experience that combines free streaming television, on-demand entertainment, subscription discovery and management, premium services, and advertising-supported programming.
Through FreeCast's unified SmartGuide discovery technology and supporting media marketplace capabilities, participating customers can access entertainment options across multiple services and devices.
For Cajun Broadband, this creates an opportunity to expand its customer offering while participating in potential new revenue streams from media engagement, advertising, subscription transactions and other digital services.
A Scalable Enterprise Distribution Strategy
Unlike traditional direct-to-consumer streaming businesses that depend heavily on acquiring individual subscribers, FreeCast's enterprise strategy focuses on working with organizations that already serve established customer bases.
FreeCast describes this opportunity through its Partner-Enabled Addressable Customers (PEAC) framework, which measures the potential customer reach available through enterprise partner relationships, separately from actual activations and paying subscribers.
Each additional broadband, wireless, satellite or enterprise distribution relationship creates an opportunity to extend FreeCast's software platform to more customers without requiring FreeCast to build the underlying broadband networks or independently acquire each customer.
Cajun Broadband's combination of fiber-to-the-home and fixed wireless infrastructure provides another distribution environment for FreeCast's platform.
CEO Commentary
William Mobley, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FreeCast, commented:
"Broadband providers have already made the substantial investments required to connect their customers. FreeCast gives them an opportunity to participate in the media economy that exists beyond that connection.”
"Our business is not about becoming another streaming television service competing for subscribers. We're providing the software infrastructure that allows existing customer-facing businesses to offer entertainment, subscriptions, advertising and commerce under a scalable platform model.”
"Cajun Broadband is a good example of how this opportunity extends beyond the nation's largest telecommunications companies. Whether an operator serves thousands of rural households or millions of customers nationally, the underlying opportunity is similar: leverage an existing customer relationship to deliver additional services and create new potential revenue streams.”
"That's the value of our enterprise PaaS strategy. The connection is just the beginning."
Supporting Rural Broadband Expansion
Cajun Broadband provides fiber-optic and fixed wireless internet services across portions of Louisiana, helping connect communities where traditional broadband and television service options may be limited.
By pairing broadband connectivity with FreeCast's software-based media marketplace, Cajun Broadband can expand the range of entertainment and digital services available to its customers without deploying a conventional cable television infrastructure.
The partnership also illustrates the versatility of FreeCast's platform across broadband technologies, geographic markets and operator sizes.
FreeCast continues pursuing enterprise distribution opportunities across telecommunications, internet service providers, wireless networks, satellite connectivity, multifamily housing and other markets where established customer relationships can support additional media and commerce services.
